The Chatham NJ real estate market is doing better this spring that a year ago this time. Even though 2007 had more homes sell then in 2006, and the average price was up a little bit, with all the doom and gloom in the news it sure did not seem like it.
There were a surprising number of homes closing in Chatham NJ in February this year. Here are the home sales with addresses, list price and sold price.

I have had a lot of people register to use my website to search Austin homes lately with New Jersey area codes. Is the relative health of your area is a reflection of the state? I’m seeing people in states like CA and FL not able to relocate to Austin as they would like because they can’t sell. Maybe that isn’t the case in NJ.

New Jersey as a whole does not seem to be doing much better than the surrounding states, but the Midtown Direct towns such as Chatham, Summit, Madison & Morristown are doing very well this year. They did well last year as well, but this spring has been very nice.
